Main 2 many DJs January 06, 2003 Lanark Alasdair Gray I've just started reading Lanark nearly 6 months after being given it. I like it so far and was particluarly amused by this paragraph... ...and read enough stories to know there was two kinds [of writing]. One kind was a sort of written cinema, with plenty of action and hardly any thought. The other kind was about clever unhappy people, often authors themselves, who thought a lot but didn't do very much.
