Students ' and Teachers ' Comments on Reading 'Betsey Brown'
Form for your comments Students - Ntosake Shange is an inspiration to me. Her writing is incredible and when I read Betsey Brown, I did not want to put the book down. I felt as if I was Betsey's shadow and was there with her during the entire book. I understood all her emotions and I would recommend that book to everyone. I love this book as well as her choreopoem "For Colored Girls who have Considered Suicide when the rainbow is enuf". That book allowed me to look through the eyes of the lives of other women. I could feel every word. I want to thank Ms. Shange for using her talent for the world to see because it has motivated me to never stop writing poetry. She is truely a wonderful writer.
