The Art of Petticoat Punishment by Carole Jean Part 8.5 - Eric Stanton (Click on any art to see it larger) I thought that I was finished reviewing Eric Stanton, however I received two requests for more including the following:
Just found your site and wanted to applaud your insightful commentary on the history of PPart and its practitioners. I was privileged to do some word-smithing for Eric Stanton late in his career, and found him a man of cosmic-level compassion, who could make himself understand the compulsions of a lot of very lonely people and make them feel a bit less alone (I still remember seeing my first Stanton paperback cover at age fourteen and marveling that there were others who found this appealing.)
A couple items I'm surprised you didn't mention:
SEX SWITCH, an eight-page comic from the mid-60s involves a submissive who is petticoated by dominant women. Stanton told me he was promised $100 for this, and took extra care with it, but then the publisher only offered him $50. He ended up selling to another publisher for $25!
The LEGACY OF PAIN trilogy (LEGACY OF PAIN, ISLE OF AGONY and CITADEL OF SUFFERING) from the mid-60s, about a brother and sister kidnapped by an evil cousin and her girlfriend, who are co-inheritors of a kinky island. As the series progresses, the brother's bondage outfits get more and more femmish until he ends up the petticoat slave of a dominant ex-maid.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF BOB HAYES INVITATIONAL TRACK AND FIELD MEET
The Bob Hayes Invitational Track and Field Meet was organized in the spring of 1964 with
Douglas Anderson High School in the Southside serving as the host and Northwestern High School in the Northside area serving as the running site. At that time, originator Nathaniel S. Washington, Sr. was Athletic Director, Head Coach and Track Coordinator for the five black high schools in the county, namely: New Stanton, Matthew W. Gilbert, Douglas Anderson, Northwestern, and Stanton Vocational High School. Nat Washington was a close friend of Bob Hayes father and knew Bob as a student at Matthew W. Gilbert School where Washington was coaching before transferring to Douglas Anderson High School. In the 1964 Olympics, Bob ran in the slowest lane, tied the world record of 10.0 in the 100

Simon, guitar and singing... interesting fact: I lied when I said singing, I meant mumbling.
Bob, I play guitar and sing in Stanton. I can't drink Stella as it makes me go loopy!
Chris, play the drums, I can move my eyes independently (of each other, not of the rest of my face - err, which I can do also).
Joe, bass, I can clap with one hand. Where do you hail from and what's it like there?
Simon, Canada via Essex... and I have just been told to be proud of my Essex roots, so it is very nice in Essex, honest.
Bob, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, Not so bad, plenty of pubs, sadly no decent music venues anymore so I spend most my time dossing at Simon's in Walthamstow, one day I'll move! One day I tell ya!
Chris, now in south London, was in Tring, Herts - something interesting? hmmmm. well it has got a zoological museum which I have never been to but loads of people I meet have, which is a bit random. Apparently it has a particularly good flee circus!
Joe, now in Walthamstow. Was in Berkhamsted, the last place England gave up the crown, quite a few years ago.

The Delbert Trophy
What is it?
The Delbert Trophy (that's Delbert, not Dilbert) is a traveling trophy which can be claimed by flying a sailplane between Stanton Airport (home of the Minnesota Soaring Club) and Benson Airport (home of the Red Wing Soaring Club).
The flight would be about 44 miles if you could fly directly between the airports, but you must fly around the controlled airspace surrounding the Minneapolis airport, so the actual distance flown is more like 60+ miles. For example: from Stanton to River Falls, Wisconsin to Benson is 59 miles.
After members of a club make the flight to claim the trophy, members of the other club know that they have been challenged to come and claim the trophy back.

At the time of this recording, the Bearcats had been together for four years and had worked up several informal but effective arrangements on a varied array of stomps, marches, blues and 1920s pop tunes that set it apart from being a mere `jam' band. Although actually the band was a coperative group with no real leader, trombonist Bob Mielke was selected as front man because of his ability to communicate verbally with audiences. All of the musicians were top quality in the idiom, able to mesh well in ensemble as well as play good, meaningful solos. The author of the band's sound was P.T. Stanton, whose style was based on usually playing within the ensemble rather than overwhelming it. Always close to the melody or inserting pungent blues licks he colored each performance with a varied collection of shakes, growl, splats and smears that lent a special flavor to the proceedings. His tone was rough and unsentimental, his ideas were apt yet uncomplicated and direct, plus he had great musical empathy with the blues. This album is a testament to the very worthwhile qualities that P.T Stanton possessed and could display under the right circumstances.
