Descendants of (Thomas C.?) Wiatt
Generation No. 1 (THOMAS C.?) WIATT
He married C HISWELL In the 1850 census for Jasper County, Mississippi, we find a Thomas C. W YATT living near our Thomas P. W YATT . Since our Thomas P. W YATT named his son Thomas "C"., it is highly likely that this gentleman is our Thomas P.'s father. We know from the Mississippi Census that Thomas P. was born in Virginia about 1810; therefore, his father or grandfather must have still been living in Virginia at least until 1810. Upon checking the Virginia Censuses for the time period immediately prior to 1810, I have found only one Thomas W YATT, and he is listed as a Head of Household on the 1785 Census of Halifax County, Virginia, with a family consisting of four persons. Going a step further, in a bibliography of family histories having to do with various W YATT lines, I found the following: The Wyatt Family Records, by Lucile Rebecca (Douglass) Wyatt.
The descendants of E. J. Wyatt, of Pittsylvania County, Va., and his lineal descendants from John

An Interview with Sir Thomas Wyatt, the Elder By Wendy J. Dunn Wendy Firstly, Tom, can I say how truly delighted I am that you, one of the finest Metaphysical poets of the Tudor era, has agreed to give his time for this interview. Sir Tom By my faith, Wendy, time 'tis no longer an issue to me. And, soothly, 'tis doth me good to speak to you. Consider it part payment towards the debt I owe you. Wendy: (confused - her normal state but we'll not go there!) Debt, Tom? You owe me no debt! Sir Tom I am beholden to you, Wendy, and you know that full well! ''Tis you who listened to me and wrote my tale as best you could. ''Tis something I'll remember always! Wendy (blushing): Tom, I will never forget you considered me worthy to tell your story. Let's say we are in each other debts! But I wanted us to speak about you, and - if it isn't too painful - your life up to the execution of Anne Boleyn. Would you mind? Sir Tom : You know my tale, Wendy; you could tell it well enough yourself. Wendy But not as good as coming from your own lips. If you're ready, we can make a start now...? Sir Tom Aye - ask your questions.

A Supplication
Forget not yet the tried intent
Of such a truth as I have meant;
My great travail so gladly spent,
Forget not yet! Forget not yet when first began
The weary life ye know, since whan
The suit, the service none tell can;
Forget not yet! Forget not yet the great assays,
The cruel wrong, the scornful ways,
The painful patience in delays,
Forget not yet! Forget not! O, forget not this
How long ago hath been, and is The mind that never meant amiss Forget not yet! Forget not then thine own approved The which so long hath thee so loved, Whose steadfast faith yet never moved Forget not this! Sir Thomas Wyatt
