In the past few months there have been many upgrades in Philips.
The weight rooms were enlarged, reconfigured and supplemented with a platform, more weight trees, new dumbbell racks for safety and access to lower weight dumbbells for convenience. In the East room one will find all the Hammer Strength selectorized equipment and free weights stations. In the West Room the Nautilus equipment encircles the Universal machine at the south end of the room. At the north end is space for stretching, stepping, skipping rope and the like. Also available are speed bags and a heavy bag.
In the recently carpeted South Atrium, one will now find thirty one stations for a cardio-fitness workouts: ten stationary bikes, six Stairmasters, five Precor Elliptical Trainers, one Nordic Trak, two Concept II rowing machines and seven treadmills (four Woodways, two older trotters and one Landis). Hypothetically over 800 different individuals could get in a thirty-minute cardio-workout on equipment on a typical weekday at Philips Physical Education Center!
