They cover journal articles, books, dissertations, book chapters, and other unique publications produced by the scholarly field of study. Print Index on the Shelf refers to paper volumes in Meyer Library and the title link opens the library catalog record showing you what years Meyer Library owns. Online Index means the index is provided as an online database and the title link takes you to that database or a database host to begin searching. AGRICOLA is part of the OCLC FirstSearch database. It covers materials relating to all aspects of agriculture, forestry, and animal science as described and acquired by the National Agriculture Library and cooperating institutions. The database includes records of books, serials, audiovisual and other materials from over 5000 sources and contains in excess of 3,500,000 records from 1970 to the present. It is updated monthly. Why Milk The Special Events Coordinator serves as the director of dairy promotion. The Louisiana Dairy Industry Promotion Board is responsible for the promotion of milk and other dairy products in Louisiana. The dairy board sponsors numerous special events and promotions throughout the state each year to enhance increased consumer demand and consumption of milk and dairy products. In this capacity, the Director of Dairy Promotions works closely with the Louisiana School Foodservice Directors and the Louisiana Department of Education ’s Bureau of Food and Nutrition Services in planning workshops and placement of child nutrition education materials in schools. The director also works closely with and schedules appearances on television and radio stations throughout the state promoting the nutritional value of dairy products; schedules the Mobile Dairy Classroom (Sulphur Springs, Texas) appearances at Louisiana schools and the State Fair; presents nutrition education Summer Reading Programs to kids in public libraries and is responsible for numerous other special events, projects and exhibits promoting milk.

STARKVILLE, Miss.From documenting long-vanished activities such as local canning clubs to developing oral histories focusing on the state’s farm economy, a new Mississippi State University effort is preserving an important part of Mississippi’s past. The newly formed Consortium for the History of Agricultural and Rural Mississippi, housed in MSU’s Mitchell Memorial Library, is collecting historical materials related to Mississippi agriculture, forestry and rural life. Initial CHARM partners are the MSU Libraries, the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station, the MSU Extension Service, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

MSU collection preserves Mississippi's rural past
By Bob Ratliff MISSISSIPPI STATE Mississippi's history is closely tied to the land from the era when flatboats moved the cotton harvest to the Gulf of Mexico to the current technology revolution in agriculture. Preserving the stories of the people and events that have shaped the state's rural life is the goal of a new program at Mississippi State University. The Consortium for the History of Agricultural and Rural Mississippi, formed in 2002, is ensuring preservation and access to important documents related to the individuals and organizations that built the state's rural heritage. CHARM partners include the MSU Libraries, the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station, the MSU Extension Service and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The CHARM collection is housed in MSU's Mitchell Memorial Library.

Forestry Library
The Forestry Library of the ETH Zurich (ETH-Zentrum, HG G 67, CH-8092 Zurich) is the special library of the Department of Forest and Wood Sciences or the Forestry Faculty, respectively. It is an open access library with restricted extramural loan facilities. Some 15,000 books and 575 current periodical titles cover all aspects of forestry and related subjects. The Forestry Library is part of the ETHICS Library Network (largest network of scientific libraries in Switzerland). Any document that has reached the Forestry Library after 1988 can be found in the ETHICS network computer catalogue whereas access to the older literature - some dating back as far as the 18th century - is through conventional card catalogues. Library hours : Monday-Thursday: 10.30-12.30; 14.00-17.00. Friday 10.30-12.30.
