INTRODUCTION : LEARNING TO TEACH Learning to Teach List of Lists Learning to Teach Teaching scholars learn about teaching. By accepting teaching responsibilities, teaching scholars assume a personal commitment to be successful. Knowing how to teach is essential to their goal of producing self-directed, lifelong learners. To them, mastering teaching skills is but a natural extension in their pursuit of total professional excellence. "If teachers are to claim a worth at all, it must be that they move the students to become a self-motivating leaner." K. E. Eble Learning to teach represents the format component of the CFP Model of Teaching . The classroom techniques employed by teaching scholars promote a learning environment. Though few teaching scholars have ever been formally instructed on teaching techniques, they all have, and use, the tools to learn. Learning to teach is not a mysterious process. It's essentially the same for any activity one is committed to: research, exercise, gardening, or whatever. Teaching scholars demonstrate curiosity of teaching/learning techniques that work and practice self-education and self-improvement as a way of life.

You are here: home Agronomy Courses HARDI's Application Technology Course
Next year, 2003, we will again run our International Application Technology Course in June week 25. The unique week long intensive study, combines theory with practice.
The venues will be our dedicated course training centre at HJALET and our conference facilities at Taastrup and Norre Alslev in Denmark.
You will see from our programme that all the components that we believe are essential in understanding how application related factors affect the delivery, activity and safe use of pesticides are covered. In addition, topical issues such as Sprayer Decontamination, Buffer Zones and Drift Reducing techniques are now demanding special attention. As in all other years, practicals will be included to give that essential hands-on experience.
We have been privileged in the past to welcome on this course, representatives of almost every agrochemical company, experts from independent and training organisations with background interests that encompass almost every facet of pesticide use in the world today. The purpose of this letter is to make yourself and your company aware of this year's event and to establish if you have staff who would benefit from attending.
Costs for the week long course are part subsidized by HARDI INTERNATIONAL A/S and will be DKK 10,000.-. This fee will include all DK internal travel, meals, accommodation at HJALET and training material. We will be delighted to welcome you.
