This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart. On this page I've provided a little information about who some of these family members are, which inspired me to do this research. Most of this information was probably obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible!
This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might help round out the picture. Photo of Mrs. Nancy Rae Law-Lassiter, Alberta and Jimmy Law's oldest daughter. "Nae Nae", as she affectionately known to her many nieces and nephes, and great-nieces and nephews, was born March 5, 1915, in the Ebenezer Community of Coffeeville, Alabama. She was a very fun and out spoken person. When her mother, Alberta married Mr. Foster, and moved to Silas, Alabama, Nancy met and married Mr. Doc Mayfield during the same time. Old Doc was very mean to Aunt Nae Nae, so this marriage didn't last long. Nancy later met Howard Lassiter of Mount Sterling, Alabama. They wed on January 4, 1941, in Plateau, Alabama. Nancy had one son, who died shortly after birth, and had no other children. She passed August 19, 1973, in Prichard, Alabama. She is buried in Oaklawn Cemetery, in Prichard.

State Flag Alabama shares the rich cultural history of the Southeastern region. From 1519, when the first Spanish explorer, Alonso Alvarez de Pineda, navigated Mobile Bay, the state was claimed explored, and settled by the Spanish, French, and British. The first permanent European settlers in Alabama were French. The LeMoyne brothers, Pierre LeMoyne, Sieur d'Iberville, and Jean Baptiste LeMoyne, Sieur de Bienville, sailed into Mobile Bay in 1699. By 1711, Fort Louis (on the present site of Mobile) had been settled as the capital of the French colony known as Louisiana. ...more We are proud members and supporters of the new American Patriot Party
