Wedding Photography in Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise or Kananaskis Country in the Province of Alberta are provided by Photographic Impressions by Ingo Kalk. Ingo is located 100 km west of Calgary- at the gates to Banff National Park Ingo uses Hasselblad cameras for medium-format size and Nikon cameras for 35mm film and digital images. Photos can be scanned and stored onto CDs in low or high resolution. Printing from digital files can be done onto acid-free, archival material (semi gloss or premium luster photographic paper, matte paper or water colour paper up to 13 inch X 44 inch) using the EPSON™ Photo 2000 P printer. Damaged or old photographic prints can be electronically restored. Ingo has worked in his profession here in Canmore since 1988. However, there were many downtown merchants who tried to overcome what was happening to the downtown. Competing with the new shopping malls meant using new materials to upgrade their own building facades, The covered intricate brick details, wood siding, and masonry facades with multi-coloured aluminum siding, covered second storey windows to create a larger surface for over-sized signs that would catch the eye of those driving by, and they relied sign after sign to communicate the message that they were ready to compete. In time, however, these modern applications homogenized the downtown areas. They all looked the same from North to South, from East to West. Instead of reinforcing their image as a 'new' and 'modern' shopping area, they damaged the historical fabric underlying this image, only to be lost in a sea of homogeneity and lost identity.
