APPLES opposes the property tax repeal because it would be devastating to our state, our economy and economic development. The proposed amendment to the Arkansas Constitution is sponsored by a group called the Arkansas Taxpayers Rights Association that hopes to appeal to the public's distaste for taxes. Certainly, there are Arkansans who are frustrated about property taxes, but this reckless proposal isn't the answer.
