On January 20 the Central Election Commission announced the results of the presidency candidate registration. 11 candidates have been registered. On February 19 the elections of the RA President were held, in which 9 candidates took part (two of the previously registered candidates - the leader of Communist party of Armenia Vladimir Darbinian and the leader of "Republic" party Aram Sargsian announced the rejection of their nominations on February 8 and 9, 2003). On February 25 the Central Electoral Commission presented the final results of the voting. The votes for the RA presidency candidates were distributed as follows: 1. Avagian Ruben - 0.41% 2.
