Geography
Landlocked between China in the north and India in the south, east and west, Bhutan is a small country with an area of 46,500 square kilometers. Its geography is characteristic of the Eastern Himalayas with elevation ranging from 150 meters above sea level in the south to more than 7,300 meters in the north. Bhutan is divided into three zones. The southern zone is characteristic of low foothills and dense tropical forests. With an average temperature of 20 degrees centigrade, this region is hot and humid. The central zone is situated between 2000 and 3500 meters. While the climate in the lower valleys is semi-tropical, most of the region is alpine with a monsoon. The central zone is divided into three regions: Western Bhutan, Central Bhutan, and Eastern Bhutan. The northern zone stretches from west to east between 6800 meters to 7400 meters, forming part of the Great Himalayas.

Sexual relationships in Southeast Asia

Southeast Asia is about more than Buddhist monks, tropical fruit, and white-sand beaches. It is also about the most beautiful women in the world, and excellent prospects for Western men to enter into meaningful sexual relationships. And I have to stress: I do not mean frequenting prostitutes. Of course, the wide range options for meaningful sexual relationships that exists in Southeast Asia is not obvious to the tourist or occasional business visitor. Like most of the Western men who live permanently in Southeast Asia, I myself have moved to this part of the world in search of paradise… not on palm-fringed beaches, but in the embrace of young beautiful women (and no, not the same one for years on end). I have now set up a new website, www.AsiaLove.org

BHUTAN
Druk Yul - the 'Land of the Peaceful Dragon' ranges, in just 200 kms, from the snows of 7,300m peaks in the north, through high alpine valleys and pastures to the steamy jungles of the Duars plain in the south. It is a land of incredible natural beauty, unpolluted, unspoiled and pristine. Few foreigners are afforded the opportunity to visit this small Himalayan kingdom.
Bhutan considers, with reason, that too many visitors would strain their limited facilities, and that rapid development might upset the unique harmony and balance of their land. Thus the fortunate visitor to Bhutan still finds the full warmth of her people and discovers the paradise of her highland pastures, peaks, forests, lakes and flowers. Climate Geography Population Religion ... Itinerary Climate Weather conditions are ideal for visiting the country in all seasons. Winter runs from December through February. Days are warm and sunny, though night tempratures can take a dip. Ha, Paro, Thimphu, Tongsa and Bumthang have a colder climate with ocassional snowfalls in the winter. The seasons can be designated as follows

Bhutan Radio Browsing Programme
Bhutan's geography and demography present a major challenge for communication, primarily handled by the state sponsored Bhutan Broadcasting System (BBS). Population density is very low. BBS' main objective is to inform, educate, and entertain. With low literacy and a small percentage of electrical grid coverage, radio is a very popular medium. When Internet was introduced into Bhutan in 1999 it was restricted to urban areas.Connectivity is expensive, a monthly service costs about 15-20 per cent of average salary but popularity with youth/students is nonetheless increasing
In 2000, UNESCO sparked the idea of radio-browsing programmes in order to provide information from the Internet to illiterate people and those without access, to increase awareness of new ICTs among students and youth who represent a high percentage of the population, to provide information content on the Internet, to broaden the Internet market, and to improve the quality and variety of BBS programmes. New ICT inputs include computers, leased-line connection, telephone-studio interfaces, and toll-free phone lines. The national telecommunication authority has given subsidized connections to the Internet with the goal of increasing number of Internet accounts.

More... T he Kingdom of Bhutan lies in the eastern Himalayas, between Tibet to the north and the Indian territories of Assam and West Bengal to the south. The Kingdom has a total area of about 47,000 square kilometres. Located in the heart of the high Himalayan mountain range, Bhutan is a land-locked country surrounded by mountains. The sparsely populated Greater Himalayas, bounded to the north by the Tibetan plateau, reach heights of over 7,300 meters, and extend southward losing height, to form the fertile valleys of the Lesser Himalayas divided by the Wang, Sunkosh, Trongsa and Manas Rivers. Monsoon influences promote dense forestation in this region and alpine growth at higher altitudes. The cultivated Central uplands and Himalayan foothills support the majority of the population. In the south, the Daur Plain drops sharply away from the Himalayas into the large tracts of semi-tropical forest, savannah grassland and bamboo jungle. B hutan's climate ranges from tropical in the south, to temperate in the centre of the country, to cold in the north...and can be quite unpredictable. The weather can vary dramatically from place to place and equally dramatically from day to day or even within the same day. In the Thimphu and Paro valleys, winter daytime temperatures average 60 degrees Fahrenheit during clear winter days but drop well below freezing during the night. Mid December to early January can be a beautifully clear and dry time in Western Bhutan. The fluctuations are not quite so great during the summer and daytime temperature often rises to the mid-eighties in Fahrenheit.

T
himphu is a small, charming capital city, probably the smallest capital in the world, resting in the heart of the Himalayas. It sits in its own valley fanning out from the river. The skyline hardly changes as new buildings are all constructed in traditional Bhutanese style. T hough a small town, Thimphu is a charming place. Every shop is stacked with multiple products - from grocery to textiles to shoes and handicraft products. Increasing number of shops sell imported goods brought in from Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore because of Druk Air's connection to Bangkok. The town is also filled with bars selling all kinds of alcoholic drinks. The capital is located at 7,500 ft overlooking the Wang Chu river valley. It is surrounded by forested hills on all sides. Worth visiting are the Memorial Chorten, Tashichoedzong, Central Tower, the mini Zoo, painting school, National Library, hand made paper factory and the handicrafts emporium. Best Deals

99. Geography
geography. Located in the heart of the high Himalayan mountain range, Bhutanis a landlocked country surrounded by mountains in the north and west.
http://www.snowwhitetours.com.bt/Bhutan_info/geography.htm
Geography The kingdom lies east of Nepal and west of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is south of the Tibetan hinterland and north of the Indian territories of Assam and West Bengal. Located in the heart of the high Himalayan mountain range, Bhutan is a land-locked country surrounded by mountains in the north and west. The rugged east, visited by few western travelers, borders the sparse and largely unknown Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The high himalaya in the northern steppes separates the kingdom from Tibet. The population of 700,000 is made up primarily of indigenous Bhutanese. Many naturalized citizens came originally from Tibet and India. In the higher reaches of the kingdom and in thrive on the land. Some, like those from Merak and Sakteng in the east and Laya in the north, have no contact with western civilization and trade only in battered goods. Migrant Nepalese who have been granted Bhutanese nationality inhabits the lower southern regions. Most of them are agricultural workers who take advantage of the fertile southern land. Most industrial areas are also located in the south. The southern districts are less populated than central districts but more populated than the northern mountainous regions. Altitude in the south range from 1000 to 4500 feet. Altitudes in the more populated central regions range from 4000 feet in the east around Trashigang to a high of 17000 feet over the highest pass. The altitude at Thimphu, the capital, is 7700 feet.
