Vancouver, British Columbia Canada's fastest growing city is a melange of peoples and cultures, with more things to do and see than you could squeeze into a month of Sundays. one of the most beautiful cities in the world!
Vancouver is a city of parks, with Stanley Park the crowning glory of our city. This park was set aside by the City back in the 20's and is world renowned for its beauty. It is located right on the edge of the port and its wildness is the home of many "wild" creatures: deer, beaver, raccoons, coyotes, humans :)

73. British Columbia
~~cities Other Regions~~ Vancouver, british columbia's largest city, isoften regarded as being one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Lane/1520/bc3.html
Vancouver, British Columbia's largest city, is often regarded as being one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Part of this beauty comes from Vancouver's location on the edge of a huge natural harbour. In addition, the north shore of this harbour (Burrard Inlet) gives rise to the massive flanks of the Coast Mountains which extend in an unbroken chain all the way to Alaska. A highly recognisable feature is the 1000 acre Stanley Park, located on a peninsula at the entrance to the harbour. Stanley Park is home to an old-growth forest, the Vancouver Aquarium, the llkm long Seawall Promedade, hiking trails and beaches. Jutting into the harbour is Canada Place with its distinctive "sails". Canada Place houses a cruise ship terminal, convention centre, hotel, restaurants and shops.
Vancouver has a distinctive international flavour, with cultural representation especially from the Pacific Rim countries. There are numerous activities to keep the whole family active and entertained, such as Science World, two Imax theatres, the Aquarium, Maritime Museum, or MacMillan Planetarium with its laser shows. Shopping is a must on Robson Street, in Gastown, or through the markets on Granville Island. Dining opportunities abound, providing an intriguing variety of tastes with many restaurants to discover and something for every palate. Entertainment opportunities are equally eclectic, ranging from a variety of live theatre and music venues to a multitude of events, festivals, and movie theatres. Vancouver is also the jumping off point for charter boats and float planes that can take the adventure seker to some of the most beautiful and tranquil spots imaginable, be it a glassy fjord, remote coastal island, fishing lodge, or mountain lake.

The variety and diversity of the attractions in British Columbia is as great as the province is vast. Be they natural or man-made, many of these attractions by themselves would be a good enough reason to visit British Columbia. Consider the magnificent blooms of the Butchart Gardens or the impressive displays in the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria; the 1,000-acre old-growth forest of Stanley Park just minutes from downtown Vancouver, or the hands-on science displays and Imax Theatre of Science World also in Vancouver. It may be the irresistible lure of the mountains with their massive glaciers found in many of our Provincial and National Parks, or a leisurely cruise up the famed Inside Passage , the wineries of the Okanagan Valley , or the historic gold-rush town of Barkerville that first brings you to British Columbia. No matter why you come here, you'll undoubtedly discover that once is not enough; for it will take many return visits before you come to understand the true scale and flavour of the province. From the excitement of bustling cities, to the solitude of a wilderness you thought you would never experience, British Columbia has it all. The following pages offer a brief overview of our beautiful and exciting province. Make yourself comfortable, and come explore with us...
