http://www.ciudadfutura.com/psico/articulos/trastornos_alimentarios.htm

WHAT IS BULIMIA?
BULIMIA is binge eating followed by self-induced vomiting and/or abuse of laxatives. Binge eating is the rapid ingestion of large quantities (5,000 calories or more) of food in secret. BULIMIA tends to develop late in childhood or early adulthood. The bulimic has an inability to stop bingeing despite the perception that the urges, binges, and purges are gross, abnormal, and unwanted. The bulimic may feel lonely and bored; he/she fills that void with food. The bulimic may be of normal weight.
WARNING SIGNS OF BULIMIA

  • Frequent weight fluctuations of 10 pounds or more

The third book provides an easily understood methodical explanation of how this dynamic new therapy was applied in the first book on bulimia and in the second on severe anorexia.
