PREPARING FOR LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION DAY
is not the time to say, "What's next?" It's never too early to start planning for the future. Ideally, planning should begin during your child's elementary school years. Whether your child chooses a job, college, vocational school or the military after graduation, these suggestions are designed to help you support and guide your child in her chosen "career path" through school. HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Minimum requirements for high school graduation were set by the California Legislature, but you need to know the complete set of graduation requirements adopted by your local school district. The district may require additional classes, satisfactory citizenship or even community involvement for graduation from high school. Whether your child plans to go to college, vocational school or directly into the job market, classes should be chosen that further her chosen career goals. And to be sure that your child will graduate as planned, check with the counselor at least once a year. LIFE SKILLS Even as you help your child with his career goals, you need to make sure your child understands the demands and responsibilities of living independently.

Availability of Statutory (Pre-License) Courses Courses at Public Institutions of Learning During the past few decades, California institutions of higher learning, recognizing the increasing impact of real estate activities on the general economy of the state and the growing complexities of real estate transactions, have established one of the most outstanding career development and training programs in the nation. Community College System : Presently, most community colleges offer a real estate curriculum. The majority of these colleges offer the courses that are mandatory to obtain a real estate broker or salesperson license, as well as the courses leading to an Associate of Arts degree in Real Estate. In the larger metropolitan areas, a full spectrum of real estate courses, beyond the required courses, offer opportunities in fields directly and indirectly related to real estate. Prospective students should contact their local community colleges for complete information.
