Apollo is a unique charter school program open to gifted students ages 6-18 (traditionally defined as grades 1-12)  whose academic and/or intellectual abilities require differentiated educational programs. No less than learning disabled students, highly gifted students require specially trained instructors and a course of instruction appropriate to their actual capabilities.  Apollo is open to students who score in the top 2% in one of several accepted tests. The Apollo Charter School is dedicated to meeting the needs of these students throughout Denver, and will accept applications from students throughout Colorado. Apollo's charter will enable the school to open its doors in September of 2001. Our charter is approved for grades 1-8; pending approval of our high school curriculum,  Apollo will also serve students in traditional grade 9 at that time.
