    Email: mshull@casa.colorado.edu I am a Professor of Astrophysics and the Chair of the Department of Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences (APS) at the University of Colorado . The following link provides a map of the Boulder campus My research interests are in theoretical/observational studies of the interstellar and intergalactic medium (IGM), galaxy formation, the cosmological re-ionization epoch, and the first stars. My research group is studying the distribution, ionization, and metallicity of this gas using ultraviolet spectra from the Hubble Space Telescope and the FUSE satellite. We are also conducting theoretical studies of the high-redshift IGM, including its reionization by the first hot stars and the radiative feedback from star formation.
