Keyword Searches for Horticultural FactSheets Here are all the places I go to when I want "just the facts!" Start at the top and work your way downyou should find the answer to your gardening question or problem. I don't try the larger databases until last because I have found that if I go directly to the sites they catalog, I always find other topics that aren't exactly what I was looking forbut are interesting just the same! If you are a southern gardener use Aggie Horticulture, FAIRS in Florida, or Missouri first then the WebGarden which catalogs several southern extension services. If you find any non-working sites, please write me at tlyockey@geocities.com I have also listed some sites at the bottom of this page that have factsheets that aren't searchable, but are available for downloading or reading. Note! Many of the publications are in Adobe Acrobat format. You will need an Acrobat reader to view and print them. You will also need to configure your WWW reader to use Acrobat as a helper application. Follow this link to obtain the free reader and for instructions on configuring your WWW software.

Cooperative Extension Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Programs
Our inquiries identified7 volunteer water quality monitoring programs that are sponsored or co-sponsored by Cooperative Extension in the United States and its territories. We have since updated the list to include a total of 31 programs. These programs began as early as 1978 and up to the year 2002. They have volunteers monitoring a variety of aquatic habitats including rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, well, wetlands, and estuaries. The image above and to the right represents how Cooperative Extension is involved in volunteer water quality monitoring programs across the nation. The map fails to show the Extension co-sponsored program that exists in the American Samoa. We have listed the programs that are sponsored or co-sponsored by Cooperative Extension by state in the list below. In parentheses next to each coordinator's name is the year that the program began. Many programs have websites available, and we have created links to these sites for your convenience. Alabama American Samoa Bill Deutsch (1992)

Visual Arts Search Search the Archives Back to Home Entertainment Monday, Apr 07, 2003 Dining Posted on Fri, Jan. 31, 2003 Blue Goose flies the coop to Grapevine By Bud Kennedy Star-Telegram Staff Writer The Blue Goose Cantina is a Greenville Avenue landmark for Dallas margarita drinkers. So can a Blue Goose migrate from Greenville to Grapevine? Yes. Sort of. The new Goose has flown the coop from the rest. Instead of a Tex-Mex cantina, it's now a grilled- and fried-seafood restaurant, Blue Goose Fish Co. The operative Blue Goose margarita menu remains the same: seven styles, including strawberry, mango and prickly pear. Otherwise, the new Goose is a different bird. The highlights include oysters and grilled salmon, scallops and fresh fish, along with fried seafood and Cajun po-boys. If you just can't live without those Blue Goose chicken enchiladas, they're on a short menu of Tex-Mex dishes along with fajitas.
