Rockets For Schools Loki launched on May 12 at 3 pm. Final report to be distributed. This statewide program was designed to use rocketry as the unifying theme for teaching science, math, non-traditional career choices and skills and technology.

It is hoped that over 100 Delaware educators will participate in November. Numerous sessions will be offered throughout the day. Delaware Aerospace Education Team (DASET) Delaware Aerospace Academy 2002 Application To Be Distributed Using outreach funding provided by the DE Space Grant Consortium, the academy awarded scholarships and continued to offset the housing bill for 104 cadets to stay on the University of Delaware campus in the Pencador Complex. All academies ran under the direction of Dr. Wright. Level II In July of 2001, the Delaware Aerospace Academy, Level II will be held at the University of Delaware. The activities began on Sunday afternoon, July 8 with registration and continued until the conclusion of the graduation exercises on July 13.

    What are the Regional Resource Centers?
    The six Regional Resource Centers (RRCs) are specifically funded to assist state education agencies in the systemic improvement of education programs, practices, and policies that affect children and youth with disabilities. The RRCs help states and U.S. jurisdictions find integrated solutions for systemic reform, offering consultation, information services, technical assistance, training, and product development. The beneficiaries of the RRCs' work are children and youth with disabilities, and the families and professionals associated with them.

    SREB Jennifer Burke August 1998 Technology Standards for Teachers “To be effective, technology certification for educators needs to be part of formal education policy and a required element of school and teacher evaluations. . . . Educators need a system of technology training and certification.” Council on Basic Education, 1998. The rapid increase in the availability of computers and other technology in schools represents a significant investment, and state leaders are concerned about results. To what extent does technology use result in improved student learning? Research has found that teacher skill in using technology is a major factor in improving student learning with technology. Teachers must know not only how to use technology but also when and why to use it. Teacher technology standards identify essential skills teachers need for effective use of computers and other electronic equipment in schools today. State teacher licensure and certification has not kept pace with rapid changes in technology and teaching. Linking technology skills assessments to licensing requirements helps ensure that teachers have the skills to support and guide students and to increase student learning using technology. Twelve SREB states have established teacher technology standards or guidelines that address several levels of competency:
