Who We Are:
Ms. Kurz received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Marywood College (Pennsylvania) in 1966 and her J.D., with Honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1971. She is a member of the North Carolina, Texas, Michigan, Montana, Maryland and District of Columbia Bars. Ms. Kurz served as President of the National Association of College and University Attorneys in 1992-1993 and as a member of the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association in 1993-1995. Ms. Kurz's areas of practice include education law, labor and employment law, administrative law, affirmative action/equal opportunity law, civil rights and constitutional law. She has particular familiarity with federal regulations affecting higher education and is an experienced litigator. She is a frequent lecturer on legal issues in higher education and has taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
