First Grade - World Civilization - Early Civilizations
The April lessons are a study of the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia and Egypt. A detailed map of this area is included in Lesson 37. It is suggested that an overhead transparency be made of this map. The map is developed further in each lesson. Therefore, you may wish to store the maps in a safe place until the end of the unit. You may conclude this unit of study with a celebration of some type. You may wish to devise a culminating activity that would be appropriate for your class. See the list of teacher resources for possible sources of ideas for such a celebration. These lessons deal with the content necessary to understand the purpose of such an event. The Walters Art Gallery may be an appropriate field trip to kick off or wrap up this unit. Visual Arts Lessons 26-29 further explore the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia and Egypt.

Member posted 04-30-2001 04:28 Remember that one of the origions of the word pyramid is 'pyra' meaning 'fire'and 'mid' meaning 'middle'. Or in other words, pyramid means 'fire in the middle'. Dr Lee, the water is put into a vortex in the 'unfinished chamber'creating an immense centrifugal force. The shockwave delivered to the pyramid itself by the water causes an occilation of the 3 million tons Quartz contained within the limestone. The shockwave has a specific timing in hertz, we're thinking somewhere around 733 Htz (or F# on the musical scale). The charge built up in the pyramid causes an intense electromagnetic field which ionises the low-level radiation coming off the surrounding stonework. This ionisation 'transmutates' (breaks apart) the water molecules into Hydrogen and oxygen.

It is called "Earth Apocalypse" and is set some unknown time after World War III. It is standard sized, with 8 starting positions, and I think they are fairly balanced. It should be fun. Needless to say, the former United States will not be the powerhouse in the new age . The perverse will be happy to discover that there is still enough uranium to destroy the world again. If people are interested and Tuomas can help me put it somewhere, I'd be happy to post it.
