St. John's, situated on the Atlantic Ocean, is the capital of the Canadian province Newfoundland and Labrador. One of the oldest cities in North America, St. John's is rich in history and culture, and well-known for its friendliness and beautiful, safe environment. Memorial offers a 12-week Intensive English Program 3 times per year and a 5-week English Language Summer School each July. In addition, English for Special Purposes and custom-designed courses are offered for groups. Students in the 12-week Intensive English Program (English for Academic Purposes) may apply for provisional admission to Memorial's degree programs.
