    ANIMALS
  • A duck's quack doesn't echo, and no one knows why. A group of geese on the ground is a gaggle, a group of geese in the air is a skein. The underside of a horse's hoof is called a frog. The frog peels off several times a year with new growth. Studies show that if a cat falls off the seventh floor of a building it has about thirty percent less chance of surviving than a cat that falls off the twentieth floor. It supposedly takes about eight floors for the cat to realize what is occurring, relax and correct itself. Emus and kangaroos cannot walk backwards, and are on the Australian coat of arms for that reason. Cats have over one hundred vocal sounds, while dogs only have about ten. Dogs have about 100 different facial expressions, most of them made with the ears. Pollsters say that 40% of dog and cat owners carry pictures of the pets in their wallets. In Budapest, they control the pigeon population by mixing birth control chemicals with the birdseed.

03' CORN MAZES / TOURS LARGEST SELECTION OF MAZES IN NORTHEAST OHIO , maybe the state? Mr. Maze (aka Bill Bakan) has been at it again. After extensive customer research, intensive soul searching, exhausting journeys to far off lands, and a farmer attitude that if one is good two must be better, than lets do three! Has laid the plans for this years twists and turns to make you laugh and learn. Plans are on the drawing board for THREE seperated mazes totaling 19 acres. All of different difficulty and theme, but all full of fun. MAZE FOR THE LITTLE ONES This one is included in the gate price admission, (see below). It is called Salley the Salamander. It is designed for the little age group who does not want to really spend a great deal of time in the maze but wants to go in the corn like the big kids. There will be a few things to do and find but it is not one that you can really get lost in. REPTILE ROUNDUP MAZE Lets take it up a notch here. This 8 acre maze will have multiple levels in it for ones just bigger than the little ones. Try the first section if you don't want to get lost and see what you can find and do as you walk along the series of intercontecting paths as you answer reptile trivia and find little ones lost from their nests and other scaley things to do. BUT beware of the final section market for CROCK HUNTERS ONLY!! Once you go in there it is not so easy to get back out and there is only one right way to find the crock and capture it. Better know your crock trivia, no one to rescue you here you will be on your own.

.Trivia Facts? Useless Information? And finally some light hearted fun. Find your old class mates UK http://www.friendsreunited.co.uk TRIVIA FACTS REPTILES What are the most intelligent reptiles?
Crocodiles are pretty smart. They are the direct descendants of
the "archosaurs," which until about 65 million years ago ruled
the reptile kingdom. They've had plenty of time to learn and are
actually able to observe behavior and recognize patterns. That's
why if you live in crocodile territory, it's wise to vary your
routine and NOT go to the river the same time each day. You might
find a crocodile lying in wait.
Is there such a thing as a vegetarian crocodile?
Not anymore. Scientists say a pre-historic mostly vegetarian
crocodile was an evolutionary experiment that didn't succeed. A fossil of the 70-million-year-old, pug-nosed reptile called Simosuchus clarki was found on the island of Madagascar off the east coast of Africa. The critter was not very ferocious. Its teeth were leaf-shaped and not the sharp, conical daggers of the modern crocodile. Its eyes were on the sides of its head rather
