Or use the Search box above to search for updated versions of the page you need? Below is a list of common sense advice tips for broken links and steps that can be followed to find the page that you are after?
  • Step One: Reload or refresh the page. Sometimes a 404 is just a fluke. Step Two: Look for obvious spelling errors in the URL. Fix them. Try switching the file extension (i.e. change .htm to .html or vice versa). Step Three: Back up one level in the URL, and continue backing up until you find something.

You may get a page or a directory listing; in either case, you should be able to find what you're looking for or verify that it's gone. If you don't come up with anything at this address, try backing up again:

ARME changed to Applied Econ and Management
By Blaine P. Friedlander Jr. The Cornell department historically devoted to agricultural economics, home of the largest number of undergraduate majors in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, has a new name: the Department of Applied Economics and Management (AEM). For the past seven years the department was known as Agricultural, Resource and Managerial Economics, but a few months ago it began using the new name on a trial basis. Now the name is official. "As we found when we tried out this name among the department faculty, our new name is one that fits all of us quite well," said Andrew M. Novakovic, the E.V. Baker Professor of Agricultural Economics and chair of the department. "As much as I personally cherish and value the historic traditions of departments of agricultural economics, I am enthusiastic about our new name," Novakovic said. "It is an inclusive name for all the varied things we do and the different things that we are." AEM is home to 40 active faculty members, over 20 emeritus faculty, more than 60 graduate students and 750 undergraduate students. The department's faculty chose the new name to reflect the diverse teaching, research and outreach programs in agricultural economics and management, business, environmental and resource economics, international development and trade, and community economic development.

in the Global Economy Program Area 5:

Farm Business Management, Economics and Marketing Statement of Issue Faculty with projects in seven academic departments conduct research in farm business management, economics and marketing that discover and disseminate information important to a variety of agricultural-related businesses and to citizens of North Carolina. Sound economic decision-making behavior by a host of different agents, which include farmers, suppliers of inputs and processors of output, policy makers, wholesalers, retailers, distributors and others, is at the center of the analysis within this area. The factors that affect risk management, including production, price, and marketing risk, of North Carolina commodities are identified and quantified to the extent possible and incorporated in policy and decision-making recommendations. Other policy analyses include quantifying the impacts of international trade agreements on production and consumption activities locally, regionally and globally. Performance Goals 1. Improve the economic decision-making abilities of the various agents who engage in the production, processing, marketing, and management of agricultural products (food, fiber, forestry and ornamentals) grown and/or marketed in North Carolina.

Simply put, the Council's role is to co-ordinate the activities of the Association. Its members are drawn from around the world and represent the countries or country areas from which they come. Council revues applications from countries to run congresses, decides on which applications to accept and when, and then acts to support the local organisation in preparing for a Congress. Council members help to identify suitable speakers for Congresses, and encourage the production of articles for the Journal. They provide information on what is happening in the farm management world in their respective areas. Council normally meets every two years at the international congresses, although it is active in between congresses when necessary by way of the Executive. Several Council Members work in an international context. As IFMA is a not-for-profit-making organisation Council Members do not receive remuneration.
