    Biographical Mark was a Professor of Horticulture and Head of the Plant Tissue Culture and Micropropagation Facility, University of Connecticut from 1997-2001. He joined the Department of Horticulture as Director of the Long Island Horticultural Research and Extension Center in 2002. In the Fall of 1999 he received a Fulbright Scholarship from the Universidad de Talca in Talca, Chile. During his sabbatical leave he spent researching geophytes of Chile that have potential as new crops for the United States. Mark also taught a plant propagation class. Major interest and projects: Project Descriptions Graduate Student As a new faculty member, I have submitted my information to be considered for the graduate faculty. The faculty are currently in the process of voting on my application. I am still the major adviser to three graduate students at the University of Connecticut.
