    While Wa-Nee Community Schools has many fine facilities and programs to offer students, it is the teachers, administrators and support staff who keep our system running smoothly. More than 375 staff members work together to maintain facilities, prepare meals, drive buses, coordinate office operations, and most importantly, teach the children who attend the Wa-Nee Schools. Wa-Nee Community Schools is proud of the many fine facilities that are shared by our community. These facilities include three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. Wakarusa Elementary School is a new school facility serving the students in the northern part of the school district. Woodview Elementary School is a new facility serving the students living on the northern edge of the city of Nappanee and in the rural areas west, north and east of Nappanee. The newly renovated Nappanee Elementary School serves students living in the city of Nappanee and rural areas south of Nappanee. Wa-Nee's elementary schools house students in grades K-6.     Centerville-Abington Community Schools serve approximately 1,700 students in four schools . We serve the town of Centerville, the village of Abington, and the suburban housing additions in Center and Abington townships. The town of Centerville has a population of approximately 2,500. The school district population is approximately 8,000 residents. The major economic base comes from farming and a sizable community of antique dealerships throughout the town center. The expanded local community offers Centerville’s residents have collaborated with the Indiana Department of Commerce, Indiana Department of Urban Planning and Ball State University to study and plan for improving the community’s "quality of life". This past year there have been two different community based groups meeting to discuss and plan for the town’s future. In addition, the survey results from a 1994 community-wide "Total Quality of Life Profile" show that our community considers the quality of the educational system a 10 on a 10 point scale to our community’s "quality of life".
