Contact Us Graduate Teacher Certification Program Department of Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences University of Kansas For students with a strong academic background and a complete Bachelor's degree, without certification to teach, the Department of Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences (HSES) offers a teacher preparation program with coursework at the graduate level. Upon completion on this program, students will be recommended by the University for teaching certification and will have completed a portion of the coursework required for a Master of Science in Education degree through the Department of Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences. ADMISSION Students pursuing teacher certification through this program must be admitted to the graduate school.
