Kidstorm is a production of Sky Diary , Chris Kridler's site devoted to storm chasing and weather photography. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the material here, but not all sources agree on some aspects of storm science, and in the interest of simplicity, not every detail is included. Thanks to savvy folks for reviewing select Kidstorm pages to help make them better, including Jim Leonard Dave Lewison and Tom Warner Comments are welcome, but before sending storm questions, see if they are answered on the Kidstorm pages or on the other sites linked from each page.

94. Kitchen Safety For Young Kids
Information and tips to protect children in the kitchen from the oven, microwave, and appliances.
http://www.uwyo.edu/family/HEALTHYC/HEALTH/Kitche~1.htm
Kitchen Safety For Young Children The kitchen can be a dangerous place for young kids. It is important to carefully supervise your child in the kitchen as he or she begins to walk and become curious. In daycare centers it is important that infants and toddlers be restricted from being in the kitchen. Prevention is the key to avoid injuries, burns, and even fatality. The following items are ways to protect your child and the children in your care, in the kitchen from the oven, microwave, and appliances. Oven and Ranges
It is important to keep pot handles turned in towards the back of the stove. This will prevent a child from grabbing onto the handle and pulling the pot onto themselves. Hot items should be kept at a safe distance from children by using highchairs, child safety gates, and playpens. Check to see where they are before you move a hot or heavy item. If toddlers are present, tablecloths and placemats should be removed because they can pull everything down on top of themselves. Be sure that children cannot climb onto cabinets, counters, or rangetops. Children should be kept out of the kitchen when the oven is being used. The oven door could burn the child as they lean or fall against it especially if they grab onto the door as they are learning to walk. They may be unable to let go and will get burned.

96. My Rules For Online Safety
From Safe kids.com, a list of internet safety rules.
http://www.safekids.com/kidsrules.htm
Kids' Rules for Online Safety
I will tell my parents right away if I come across any information that makes me feel uncomfortable. I will never agree to get together with someone I "meet" online without first checking with my parents. If my parents agree to the meeting, I will be sure that it is in a public place and bring my mother or father along. I will never send a person my picture or anything else without first checking with my parents. I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I get a message like that. If I do I will tell my parents right away so that they can contact the service provider. I will talk with my parents so that we can set up rules for going online. We will decide upon the time of day that I can be online, the length of time I can be online, and appropriate areas for me to visit. I will not access other areas or break these rules without their permission. I will not give out my Internet password to anyone (even my best friends) other than my parents.
