Child Development Lab School General Information The Child Development Laboratory School is located in the Palmer HDFS Building, on Osborn Drive, Iowa State University campus. The Full Day Learning Center is open Monday through Friday, 7:25 a.m. - 6 p.m., 52 weeks a year. In Canton, our preschool program coincides with the public school calendar. It is available to children aged from 16 months through kindergarten. The weekday hours are 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. In each of our locations, a Ledgewood Special Needs resource teacher works with individual children and groups to provide support services. Jewish holiday celebrations, weekly Shabbat activities and the interweaving of Jewish values throughout our curriculum instill in our students a positive identification with their heritage.
