Cured with help of diet and sun.
In summer 1992, I was organizing one day cooking workshops in Beograd, together with my parents. Many people were interested to learn cooking and we have had almost every weekend one workshop. On one of those workshops came man called Perica Z. Beginning of every workshop was usually introduction. All the people introduce themselves and say a little story about themselves. Perica said that he has come to the seminar because his only child, 4 year old daughter has Leukemia. He also told us that before she was diagnosed with leukemia, she ate ice-cream every day for more than a year. Her mother also loved chocolate and ice-cream. She ate it a lot, before pregnancy, while pregnant and after pregnancy. He also ask me what is my opinion about some alternative cancer cure that was based on honey. I did not suggested him to use it. Perica Z. also came on the next workshop. I suggested him that I should visit them in their house, see his daughter, see their flat and place where she sleeps, and give him more detailed recommendations for her diet.

Read the Vegeterianism Vegetarianism is the practice of adopting a diet that includes only or primarily foods produced from plants. Aside from the fact that vegetarians eat no red meat, they differ in other components of the diets they select. Some vegetarians include fish or poultry along with plant products. Others, called lacto-ovo- vegetarians, eat no fish or poultry, but do eat dairy products and eggs. Lacto-vegetarians include dairy products in their diets, but not eggs. Strict vegetarians, called vegans, eat no meat, fish, poultry, eggs, or dairy products. Many people today choose a meatless diet because they believe it is healthier. And they are right. In countries like United States, professional nutritionists encourage diets filled with grains, fruits and vegetables, with minimal intake of meat, fish, poultry, dairy products and eggs. When I was first diagnosed with this disease in 1989, there were few resources available on the internet. Finding what little information there was to be found was a real challenge. Today medical resources abound on the web alone, and I have put this together so that no one else EVER has to go through the pure frustration that I did, as I tried to learn about and find resources relating to Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Leukemia:
Story about man who cured himself against all odds
This is a story about my good friend Petar J. I introduced him 1987, in Belgrade, when I first started attending seminars and workshops on health foods. That time he was already cured. In his late forty's he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Doctors who diagnosed him told him that he has less than 4 months of life. He started with strict health food diet called macrobiotic diet and with body building. He stopped drinking coffee, alcohol, milk, and soft drinks. He stopped eating meat, milk products, sugar, tropical fruit, margarine and started exercising every day. I am not sure if it took him 3 or 4 months, but he was totally cured in less than 4 months. He did not used any of the western medicine treatments. So, instead of being dead, he went back to his doctor, and doctor made blood test. Results of blood test showed that he was totally healthy. His doctor did not believed him that it was done only with diet and exercises. His story vas published in many Yugoslavian newspapers. The only comment doctors have had on his story was that he have had "spontaneous remission", and that it has nothing to do with diet or with body building.

RICHMOND, Va. There are four different types of leukemia. One is chronic lymphocytic leukemia, or CLL. It's slow growing and generally strikes the older population. Despite it's slow nature, if CLL is not treated, the disease can be fatal. Unfortunately, even when it's treated, many patients relapse. But doctors hope adding a new drug to the treatment will stop it for good. Seventeen years ago, John Meckley took on a challenge and amazed himself. "It was a thrill," he said. "I said to myself, 'I did it. I did it.'" That was his first triathlon. Since then, Meckley has completed 70 more.

If you should have any suggestions or feedback about this site, please email us. Read the Nutrition Good nutrition is needed for general good health and is particularly important when you are ill. During this time, it is important to give your body the proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals it needs for energy, repair of normal tissue, and to keep your immune system strong to fight disease. Food is not only something to delight the taste but is an essential ingredient in the fight against disease. It is as important as your medicine or medical therapy (e.g., surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy). Because of your illness or treatments, you may not be able to eat in the same way as before. You might find that your pleasurable experiences around eating are affected. What Kinds of Food Do I Need? A good rule to follow is to eat a variety of different foods every day. No one food or group of foods contains all of the nutrients you need. A diet to keep your body strong will include daily servings from these food groups: Fruits and Vegetables Protein Foods: Protein helps your body heal itself and fight infection. Meat, fish, poultry, eggs, milk, yogurt, sprouted grams, dals and cheese give you protein as well as many vitamins and minerals.

Leukemia
Leukemia is cancer of the blood cells. There are several different kinds of leukemia such as acute lymphatic leukemia and acute myeloctyic leukemia. The National Cancer Institute explains that leukemia is the production of large numbers of abnormal blood cells, usually white blood cells, that don't function properly.
Signs And Symptoms
Signs associated with leukemia include fatigue, paleness, weigh loss, repeated infections, bruising easily, nosebleeds and other hemorrhages. In children, these signs may appear suddenly.
What Are The Risk Factors?
People of both sexes and all ages may get leukemia. However, those with Down's Syndrome and certain other genetic disorders have higher leukemia incidence rates. The exact causes are unknown, but leukemia has been linked to excessive exposure to ionizing radon and to some other chemicals, such as benzene. Some forms of leukemia are caused by a retrovirus. Other risk factors include diet, smoking and excessive drinking.

MILLER-ROTH's Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) Positive Cat Information Sheet
(What You Should Know About FeLV and Testing Your Cat, and How To Find An FeLV-Positive Cat A Loving Home)  Many people have contacted us about finding homes for cats that have been designated "FeLV-Positive". Feline Leukemia is the second largest killer of cats. There are no easy answers when dealing with this disease and certainly each cat is special and every situation is unique. We don't know all of the answers. NO ONE does. But over the years we have found it helps to know you're not alone in caring what happens to these animals. Here is some information and suggestions that we hope you find to be helpful. If you have an FeLV-Positive cat that you have taken in, remember YOU are the one who has developed an emotional attachment. YOU are the one who cares about the cat. In this time of so many unwanted pets, the sheer numbers of animals that are not infected make it extremely difficult to find an FeLV-Positive cat a home. Before you decide to take in a stray cat and have it tested, be prepared to take on the responsibility of keeping the cat, finding it a home or euthanizing it, in case it does turn out to be Positive. There is no reason why you cannot keep a FeLV-Positive cat, as long as you follow certain important guidelines. It must stay indoors the rest of its life to prevent it from infecting other cats. Since it is infectious, it could potentially infect every other cat that it comes into contact with. It does however have the potential for living a long, happy and fulfilled life, either alone or with other cats who are also FeLV-Positive.
