TEACHER EDUCATION Course Descriptions Programs: Certification in Elementary Education Certification in Secondary Education Provides professional coursework and experience required for initial teacher certification in Maryland for individuals who have completed a baccalaureate degree. Many credits earned in this program may be applied to a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction or Reading.
