Qualifications: The position requires a BSME/MSME or related engineering degree. Masters degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten (10) years experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably with three years of implantable electrode design experience. Class III medical device design experience is desirable. Experience with 3D CAD software (Solid Works preferred).

  • Visit vendor facilities to monitor fabrication/assembly of pressure vessels, compressors, pumps, drivers, etc to verify work is being performed per client specifications and applicable codes. If required, I could live at the vendor facilities during critical phases of equipment fabrication.
  • Witness performance testing, including bearing temperature stabilization and vibration signatures, of rotating equipment.
New Construction Surveillance:
  • Follow construction of new units, tank fabricatons and revamps of existing units to ensure construction is in accordance with client specifications, and applicable codes. Provide field support engineering, as needed.
  • Follow installation of rotating machinery to verify instalations is in accordance with client specifications and applicable codes.
