model building, There must be time synchronisation between the SCADA system and the PLC system.
model building The SCADA system must be able to handle model building data with external time stamps - in some cases with huge time displacements - and use these data for presentation as well as for data management.
Communication between PLC and PC must be event oriented so that only changes need to be transmitted.
The communication protocol must have watchdog facilities.
Today it is necessary to fulfil these requirements in an event oriented communication strategy for systems where the external time stamps must be used in the further processing of data - in the display function as well as in data management.
IGSS from 7-Technologies is one of the very few SCADA systems on the market that meets all these requirements. To shown their good intentions other developers have chosen to implement some of the above functions in their systems but have left out much of the problematic data management. They recommend to use MS Excel instead. Hence data management is left to be handled outside the SCADA system and remains the responsibility of the user.
As integrated data management has always been one of the IGSS strengths, we chose to solve the above problems as an integral part of the IGSS system, relieving the user of having to solve the complex task of processing data that may be characterised by considerable model building time displacements.

http://www-bmb.ijs.si/
With MAIN from initial phases to the final structure MAIN is an interactively driven computer program dealing with computational parts of macromolecular crystallography in progressively automated manner
  • visualization and interactive modeling of molecular structures,
  • density modifications (solvent flattening and flipping, envelopes manipulation, averaging),
  • crystallographic refinement (real space and reciprocal space target) and
  • structure analysis.
MAIN home departments are located at Jozef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and at Max-Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried, Germany. MAIN documentation consist of four parts:
  • User's guide is the place to look in first. It contains general chapters on MAIN and its applications.
  • DEPP PAGES Instructions for use of menu blocks and their items including information about use of mouse and keyboard shortcuts
  • Command Reference Manual describes the MAIN programming language syntax.
  • cases contains directories with runnable cases with all data and command files including the tar.gz form.
Keyword Index contains links to manual pages. It is quite extensive already, but you can always help me and yourself by telling me what are you looking for and under which keyword(s) you expect to find it.

Model Building from 3D Surface Measurements
Summary
This tutorial provides an guide to research on model reconstruction from surface measurements. Range sensors capture dense 3D point measurements of an objects surface. Reverse engineering of accurate 3D model of real objects from 3D surface measurements is recognised as an important research goal. Potential application domains include industrial product design and computer generated imagery for film and multimedia. The general problem of model reconstruction from surface measurements does not assume any prior knowledge of the object shape or topology. Conventional range sensors capture 3D surface measurements with respect to a 2D image plane, this is referred to as a 2.5D range image . Multiple view range images are required to capture data for the entire surface of an object. Model reconstruction from multiple range images is addressed in three stages:
  • Registration to transform surface measurements into a common coordinate frame.
  • Geometric Fusion to obtain a single 3D surface model from the sets of surface measurements.
  • Viewpoint Planning to identify new range image views to capture data for the entire object surface.

Creative Design Model's new website will be online shortly. Latest News - document.write(doClock("W1",",%20","D1","%20%20","M1","%20","Y0")); OK, this site is undergoing a bit of a facelift right now - it needs a major overhaul but I just can't stand seeing 'site under construction' banners, so this will have to do for the time being. CDM have had a very busy 10 months....
We did some great ads for the CAT system in Perth, display cases filled with multicolored balls and popcorn + some hyper-real pigeons. ARCHITECTURALLY speaking we made a 3.8m tall onion dome for an Indian Restaurant - it had 9 segments [the full one will have 18] was 2.8m in dia and was a complete headache full of compound curves... I love Pi...Then we gold leafed it and installed it 4m in the air. [I didn't even get a free curry] KALGOORLIE MUSEUM got the CDM team in to make hyper realistic [monotonal] Gold Miners for their Museum, absolutely beautiful! [no mannequins @ this model shop]. CADBURYS display project was a stressful one but looks brilliant, funny thing is 7 year olds love it and 70 year olds look perplexed. The whole job looks like a mini Willi Wonka factory, the experience CDM gained on that means we can now offer fully mechanical displays.

Polyhedron Models
Construction Techniques and Tips When it comes to the study and appreciation of polyhedra, there is nothing as instructive and satisfying as holding an actual model in the hands. A great deal of understanding about the symmetries of the icosahedron can be had by simply spinning one on your finger tips! The first and most important step for producing high quality models is in the construction of accurate templates. By using a template pieces can be made quickly, and yet each piece will be highly uniform. On stiff cardboard draw an equilateral triangle with a side of, say, 2 inches. Make your drawing as accurate as possible, and mark the vertices by pushing a pin through them. Draw a border of about 2/10 inch around the triangle and then cut it out (the border will become tabs that you will glue together to join two pieces). Now use your template to draw several triangles on good quality art paper, and then cut these out. Stack 3 or 4 triangles with your template on top, and push a needle through the stack at each of the vertices. Using a straight edge and needle, score the paper triangles between the holes. Finally, cut off the corners, and fold the resulting tabs down along the scored lines.
