Eight-weeks professional attachment from Solomon Islands, from 25 April to 5 June 2002 Nick Gagahe, Deputy National Statistician from the Solomon Islands Statistics Office, undertook a two-months attachment to work on the 1999 Solomon Islands census data and other demographic research. The SPC Demography/Population Programme is currently hosting Kaobari Matikarai, from the National Kiribati Statistics Office, from mid August to mid November 2002 and will host Simil Johnson, from the National Vanuatu Statistics Office, from mid September to mid December 2002, to undertake professional attachments, funded by the Pacific Forum Secretariat Fellowship scheme.
