Mondays through Thursdays, students attended four classes, three of which were 90 minutes, and on Fridays, all seven classes met for 45 minutes each. Many students and teachers liked not meeting with all classes each day. I like the alternative scheduling, because you have two days to do your homework and extra free time to do other things at home," Kara Peterson, freshman, said. Students valued the new schedule because they could spend extra time with their teachers and they could get to know their classmates better. A large number of the students used the extra class time not only to socialize with friends, but as time to finish their homework. Since classes were longer, teachers were given more time to teach their subject thoroughly.
