Columbus, Ohio 43210-1295 e-mail Introduction The Nutrition in Industry Option in the Department of Human Nutrition is a new program for non-business majors at Ohio State who are planning a professional career in business organizations that focus on foods, nutrition, and nutraceuticals. Students completing the program with have expertise in the principles and applications nutrition and food sciences, along with a broad, conceptual understanding of business functions and culture. The primary difference between the new Nutrition in Industry Option and the long standing Dietetics and Nutrition* Options is that some courses from the Dietetics and Nutrition options have been replaced with the courses that comprise the General Business Minor or its equivalent. The business support section of the curriculum utilizes the General Business Minor offered by the Fisher College of Business. Students selecting this option also will complete several industry and policy-courses in the Department of Food Science and Technology.
