FFA 51st Annual Meet
Expect more than 800 members of the Future Farmers of America on campus tomorrow to participate in the 51st annual Interscholastic Meet. Contest coordinator James Byrd says nearly 100 high schools will send one or more teams to the competition. FFA chapters traditionally use this event to practice skills and gauge competitors prior to the state competition. Contests include agricultural economics, dairy products, entomology, floriculture, land judging, pasture and range, crop judging, electrical power and processing, farm shop, forestry, nursery and landscape, and soil and water management. More than 50 volunteers help set up, coordinate, judge and record scores. If you can help call James at x4940. Where’s the Candy?
OSU-Okmulgee’s 7th Annual Easter Egg Hunt co-organizer Angie Davis reports that this year’s candy and egg donations have been sparse at best. As of today, only three people have made donations. The Alumni Association NEEDS YOUR HELP to make this year’s event a success! Please bring wrapped candy, plastic eggs and/or monetary donations to the Student Success Center by this Friday, April 11. The hunt is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, 4:30 p.m., at the Bell Tower. Each year the Alumni Association hosts the Easter Egg Hunt for children, ages 0-12, of OSU-Okmulgee students and employees. During the association’s most recent meeting, $100 was provided to help fund this event. Will you help? Brainfood! Breakfast
