... MUSIC ORGANIZATIONS The Cushion Concerts are back at the Harbourfront, with a season of live stories and music for children. All concerts take place at 1pm in the Brigantine room. Here's what's coming up:
  • March 16: Anna Bel Canto with mezzo-soprano Lysianne Tremblay (right)
  • April 27: Hot Salsa with Latin band El Fuego

Music Umbrella 's 15th concert season at Eastminster United Church wraps up with music for flute, harp and viola by Carol and Friends on April 25 at 8 pm. Tickets for all Music Umbrella concerts are $15 for adults, $10 for students/seniors and $5 for under 12. Tickets are available at the door. Music Umbrella concerts are held at Eastminster United Church, 310 Danforth Ave. WHAT'S UP ... About The Phantom of the Opera
Winner of 7 1988 Tony Awards including Best Musical, The Phantom of the Opera is based on the novel by Gaston Leroux. It tells the story of the hideously deformed Phantom who lurks beneath the stage of the Paris Opera, exercising a reign of terror over its occupants. The phantom falls in love with the young Soprano devoting himself to creating a new star for the Opera by nurturing her extraordinary talents and employing all the skills at his disposal.
