Thursday's Internet Edition, April 10, 2003. Shore Pines Talent Show is success
    WC- Shore Pines
    Shore Pines this week
On Friday, March 21 at 6 p.m. Shore Pines kicked off its 2nd annual Variety Talent Show fundraiser for the Child Advocacy Program. Opening for the talent show was Lori Hawkins, who sang "God Bless America." Up next were the Beach Belles, who sang, "You're a Grand Old Flag" and "Yankee Doodle Dandy." Many performers showed up to show off their talents and they were all great! The grand prize of $100 dollars and first place trophy went to Whitney Snipes, second place to Jessie Denning and Ilene Duffy, and third place went to Brittany Randall and Rachael Antunes. In fourth place was Julia Denning, and the fifth place trophy went to Jessica Martin, Laura Cleveland, Carol Ann Shipley, Lindsey Cottor and Sarah Hulslander. Congratulations to you all for such great performances.
Judging for the talent show were Shore Pine residents Mary Wadleigh, Ann Domes, Mary Lantz, Anna Burnley, Fran Hawkins and Florence Elfman. We could not have had a better group of people judging. With their wisdom it made things easy. Thank you, ladies. We would also like to thank Richard Purdy for the lighting and sound system that he worked so hard on, July McDonald for being the emcee and the many staff that helped out in setting up for the event.
    Have a wonderful week.
