Carolina Millennium #6 Event Date: October 1, 2001 Series: Carolina Millennium Host Site/Field: Spooky Woods City: Greensboro State/Province: NORTH CAROLINA Country: USA Event Producer: Carolina Millennium Paint: BYOP Total # of Teams: Reported by: Bambi Bullard
The Carolina Millennium's sixth 3-player tourney had an unusual setting; the speedball arenas were part of a recreational site that included a haunted house and a wagon trail called SpookyWoods. The trail included ghost like figures, car accident scenes and a real hearse with a cool paint job. There was a cornfield maze on the property. People could traverse a confusing trail after getting past the distorting mirrors, and try to out wit the map of the maze. visit www.maizeadventure.com for an aerial view. In 2002 there will be a low and high ropes course for confidence building. Corporate groups welcome at this versatile site. By including paintball as part of their operations, Paintball Point offers year round recreational activities. Final order of finish at the tourney: Tournament Results

Welcome to the Philippine Festival Committee (PFC) Sports Festival website. Last year's event was a tremendous success, but this year's event is shaping up to be our biggest ever yet. The Volleyball tournament, our 12th year , has always been the centerpiece of this event, but this year we've expanded into other sports. Back are the ever popular tennis, basketball, billiards, and golf. Football (touch/flag), softball, paintball, and bowling are also being considered. So what's your sport? Volleyball? Tennis? Golf? Billiards? Basketball? You asked for it, you've got it! And since this is also a Family Picnic, there will be music, entertainment, and games for the whole family. And of course, there will be lots of delicious authentic Filipino foods, from the familiar to the exotic, to satisfy any appetite. NORTH LAKE TAHOE CATERS TO FAMILIES
(TAHOE CITY, Calif.) - North Lake Tahoe has long been a premier year-round destination for families. What makes the region unique is its abundant recreational activities, scenic beauty and natural centerpiece, the largest alpine lake in the country. In summer, a vacation to the North Shore would not be complete without stopping to feed the giant rainbow trout at Fanny Bridge in Tahoe City, California adjacent to the Bridgetender Restaurant, which serves up some of the lake's most juicy cheeseburgers. Walking distance from the bridge is a 3.7-mile paved bike trail, maintained by the Tahoe City Public Utility District, where families can go for a leisurely ride. Many also chose to inline skate or jog on this two-lane trail as it winds along the Truckee River from Tahoe City to the Squaw Valley Road. Nearby bike and inline skating shops provide hourly, half-day and full-day rentals.

As part of that responsibility, MWR strives to provide a diverse selection of recreational programs and activities for the soldiers, family members, and civilians at Fort Bliss. Sometimes, there are individuals who want to participate in a sport which is not currently offered on post. That’s where the newly implemented Recreation Delivery System (RDS) Program steps in. RDS is geared toward providing the finest opportunities, services, facilities, equipment and experiences which contribute to the health, well being, development and education of the Fort Bliss community through involvement in recreation, leisure and cultural activities. Essentially, RDS means finding a way to offer recreational opportunities that people want to participate in, through an effective and efficient use of resources.
