Please enter my comments into the public record for this rulemaking. I understand that Congress originally intended that no employer nor group health insurer could exclude my participation in group health insurance based on my participation in legal recreational activities like hang gliding. I applaud that intent and support that aspect of the new regulations. However, the new rules would also allow an employer or group health insurer to deny medical coverage for injuries I may receive while hang gliding, or participating in many other legal recreational activities. I am adamantly opposed to this provision. This regulation could place an unimaginable burden on my family and me. The rule also legitimizes discrimination against me based on those legal recreational activities I choose to pursue as a hobby. This is wrong!
