"Adventure sports" such as surfing, scuba diving, and sailboarding are gaining popularity around the island as a result of interest generated by classes, rental shops, and clubs. Even gutsier activities such as paragliding and bungee jumping are also attracting brave souls not scared off by the danger or expense. A less thrilling but equally trendy sport that has become a lure to children and adults alike is roller blading. People, particularly children, wearing roller blades and skating to their heart's content is now a common scene in parks and playgrounds. A variety of fishing activities have also gained in popularity. In addition to seaside fishing, there are also many private ponds where people can fish for a small fee. Sea parks and aquariums have also been set up around the island in Kenting, Taipei, and Penghu. The Council of Agriculture has selected 50 qualified counties and cities around the island to carry the "one county, one recreational farm" project, which is aimed at uniting ecology, scenery, livelihood, agricultural development, and community culture. (Photo by Chen Yi-yu) Organized recreational activities are offered all year round by groups like the China Youth Corps ¤¤°ê«C¦~±Ï°ê¹Î. On weekends and holidays and during summer and winter vacations, the corps offers young people diverse outdoor activities like parachuting, rafting, skiing, and mountaineering. Each year it also organizes mock military exercises, back country hiking and camping, talent camps, and safari-style adventures for teenagers and young adults alike. For those who prefer indoor activities, the corps arranges arts and craft courses, such as guitar workshops, knitting courses, and painting classes. There are also self-improvement programs, including management courses, vocational workshops, and psychological counseling.

    5. RECREATION
    GENERAL
5.1 The relevant bodies are required to take such steps as are reasonably practicable and consistent with other enactments relating to their functions, to secure that any rights which they have to the use of water and associated land are exercised so as to ensure that the water or land is made available, in the best manner, for recreational purposes. Opportunities are particularly likely to arise in respect of:
    • inland reservoirs, flooded gravel pits and coastal waters, which may be an important resource for water sports, such as sailing, windsurfing and canoeing, and for angling, walking and birdwatching upland water gathering grounds, where there should be provision for informal recreation such as walking, mountaineering and enjoyment of the countryside. Wherever practicable, access on roads and tracks should be extended to equestrians and cyclists for informal recreation. Access for organised activities such as orienteering, climbing, paragliding and caving should be granted unless there are clear reasons why it should be refused.
5.2 The Agency also has a general duty to promote the use of inland and coastal waters and associated land for recreational purposes.

Shopping Sports facilities in Andalucía vary considerably depending on the town or area, but are excellent in the major cities and resort areas, although sparse in more rural regions and villages. Municipal sports complexes, known as polideportivos are located in the larger towns/cities and there are many private country clubs, sports centres and gymnasiums, most of which allow guests to use their facilities. Several of the larger hotels on the Costa del Sol also have gymnasiums that are available for private membership. All community developments or urbanisations have swimming pools, and many also have tennis courts and other sports facilities. The cost of participation in sports, overall, is reasonable when compared to most other European countries.

We currently have 3 launching grounds depending on the weather. Don't worry, a local pilot will always be available to advise you on flights and gaps.
