April 10th, 2003 Added: Nominee for Board, TPPA 2003 Robert (Bob) Kremser Bob was born in the Mississippi Delta near of Memphis, TN. After his tour of duty in the Navy, where he gained much of his photographic background, he returned to Memphis where he continued to pursue of his degree. With a Bachelor's and Masters degree in Accountancy, Bob began his career in Public Accounting as a CPA and is still a CPA (inactive) in Tennessee. He was hired from that firm by a Fortune 500 client company with headquarters in Memphis to help start its internal audit function. He stayed with that company helping to manage its business systems and performing corporate acquisition functions, until it was itself acquired in a corporate merger. Taking the opportunity to not move out of town to the new corporate HQ, Bob became a licensed General Contractor and began his own construction company. In helping his wife, Brenda, begin her own business as a photographer, he became involved her photographic efforts and joined her company. This allowed them to jointly devote time to their improvement of skills. Joining TPPA was one of their early steps. They have both been involved actively in TPPA since 1998, attending most seminars and conventions since. Both have attend each SEPPA convention since 1998 to hone their photographic and business skills. They have been on the hospitality, print competition, and transportation committees at several Tennessee State conventions. This year, Bob has helped found and teach the joint Memphis Professional Photographer Guild / Memphis Camera Club monthly Digital Imaging Seminar. Bob is a Certified Professional Photographer. He has competed successfully in the State Convention Print Exhibition winning Best of Show (illustrative) in 2001 and Best of Show portfolio at 2002 Fall Seminar.
