Kentish Recipes Potted Shrimp If you want a quick and simple recipe why not try potted shrimp? It's something local and easy to make. A snack or starter we used to make it to have on bread for Sunday tea. Ingredients: 1 pint of peeled brown shrimp
150g of butter
1 tablespoon of finely chopped chive
1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
one small crushed clove of garlic
salt and pepper to taste
dash of Tabasco sauce (optional) Method:
  • Put the butter and garlic into a pan and leave whilst the butter melts and the garlic softens. It should only take a couple of minutes over a medium heat.
