PROOFREADING EDITING WRITING home services cost editor ... contact Editz Pro is a fast, reliable editing service for personal, business, educational and technical documents. Whether your material needs minor changes or complete rewriting, it will be treated with TLC at reasonable rates . Editz Pro is located in Edmonton AB Canada. Please e-mail Marcia Craig for more information. What is Editing?
There are many ways to express a thought or idea. Aside from spelling and grammar mistakes, all ways may be correct. Editing is more than the correction of technical errors. The goal of good writing is to manipulate language so that the reader can appreciate the full impact of the message intended by the author. The editor establishes by proofreading, or by questioning the author, exactly what it is the writer wants to say. The editor then cuts away extraneous material so that ideas are exposed. Finally, the text is fine-tuned to make the ideas not only clear, but appealing to read about. Writing Style
Each writer has a unique style. This style can add color to the presentation of the writer's ideas. Sometimes writers are afraid to let their personality show through their writing - afraid that a personal touch might make the material seem unsophisticated. At Editz Pro, the individual character of each piece of writing is respected and, whenever possible, maintained throughout the editing process.

Words not belonging to Anne Rice, Stan Rice, Christopher Rice or other parties, were written by me and therefore are my words. Please ask permission before removing or using anything from this site. In most cases, I will happily share my information as it is readily available to all, but wording by myself, permission is greatly appreciated. Any sites using my wording without permission, will be asked to remove it. Spoiler Warning If you do not wish to find out about upcoming characters or events in any of the novels before you have read them, please be careful what links you choose as there is a lot of information and extracts DIRECTLY from the novels throughout the site. Page References All page references are to paperback editions. If there is not a page reference, then it means either that (1)I've not gotten around to refinding the extract in the novel or (2)I only have the novel in hardcover and I'm waiting for the novel to be released in paperback so I can then put the reference with the extract. Why do I do the page references? Sometimes I need to reference something back to the novels when asked a question, so it makes it easier to find quickly and sometimes people like to look up the information themselves.

Grammatically oriented site devoted to the phonology, grammar and dialects of Irish, by Antony Green, a US linguist based in Berlin, Germany. Some of the site is in German and Irish. Useful table of spellingpronunciation correspondances. Many links.
http://www.ling.uni-potsdam.de/~green/gaeilge.htm
From this page you can get information on the linguistic structure of Irish, read Irish stories, or find Irish resources on the Web.
Each page is available in HTML and PDF format. The PDF versions allow you to see phonetic characters as they are supposed to look. In the HTML versions, you have to make do with subsitutes.
I have copied down some Irish folk tales that were published between fifty and a hundred years ago. I have brought the spelling up to date and have normalized a few forms, but I have kept dialectal forms intact rather than replacing them with standard forms. The stories are:

    Frisian Course Extended version
by Pyt Kramer Ook in Nederlands
Back to: English.htm About 400,000 people speak (West)Frisian in the province Fryslân in the northern Netherlands [You want Saterfrisian How do you pronounce: Fryslân Listen to Frisian news on-line Goto lesson Grammar Spelling Index Introduction This course is the extended form of the course of seven lessons I had on this place since May 2000. That course was rather well visited: out of 859 people visiting page 1 of the English version 121 downloaded all lessons. For the Dutch version these numbers were 185 and 41 (Yahoo Stats 4th April 2001).
I also got a number of e-mails encouraging me to complete the course and some gave valuable remarks. I first added seven new lessons in order to include the 197 most frequent words in Frisian, thus covering 65% of daily speech. In between many other words and forms flew in in order to make good talks; the word index now contains 525 of them. I hope that in this way one will obtain a good starting knowledge of practical speech. A last lesson will treat some special objects. For all lessons I considerably increased the number of exercises*, thus giving the user the possibility to work with the language themselves in order to get more feeling for it. Already from the first simple lesson on one is urged to join a talk!

    100. Civil War Letter From James L. Johnson
Found folded up in a modern envelope, this letter is copied as exactly as it was written, with no corrections for grammar or spelling.
    http://pw1.netcom.com/~dgh33/letter.htm
This letter was found folded up in a modern envelope with the following written on it in fairly recent ink: JAMES L. JOHNSON TO MARY L. JOHNSON JAN 1, 1865 The following letter was enclosed. It is written on a single sheet of yellowed lined paper. The letter is copied as exactly as I can read it, with no corrections for grammar or spelling. There were a few places where I could not make out the characters (this was usually in a place where the letter was folded) and I have indicated this by the use of an underscore to approximate the missing letters. The letter is written in fairly good cursive, in pencil, but has faded a good bit over the years making it very difficult to read. The letter starts on the right half of the page, continues to the left-hand side of the back, moves to the right hand side of the back and then concludes on the left hand of the page that it started on. The blank lines represent where the writer went to another page. I have also scanned this letter, and put all four pages on the internet so you can see what the actual letter looks like, and why I had such a difficult time reading it. The four pages can be found at the following locations: If you have any information about any events or people contained in this letter, or want to contact me for any reason, send e-mail to David Hancock at
