http://www.reuter.net/syria_private_tours/syria.htm
Map Sites General Information Economy ... History Traveling in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan is quite interesting, and easy overland touring in comfortable lodges and hotels ranging from 3 stars to 5 stars can be arranged. The vehicles vary from modern comfortable cars and vans to minibuses and coaches. Driving is on good roads and highways with easy access from one country to the other. Maximum drive time from one capital to the other is two and a half hours. All that you need is a valid passport for six months at least and Visas for each country. You can get a 24 hour Lebanese Visa at the border. Passports should not bear any Israeli stamps. There are incredible opportunities for photography everywhere you go in these countries even inside some of the mosques and public bazaars (markets) with huge amounts of wonderful Roman and Byzantine ruins in addition to the Crusader castles and other monuments. In these countries you can use all forms of money like U.S. dollars and other currencies, Traveler checks and Credit cards. Cash machines (ATMs) are available too. Some of the sites in Syria include:
Damascus
and Aleppo
The two major cities of Syria.

SYRIA, an Arab republic of southwest Asia. Its population is primarily Muslim. Syria (Arabic, Suriya) has been an independent nation in modern times only since the end of World War II. But Syria's history is as long as that of any country in the world, and in the past the nation embraced an area significantly larger than it covers today.

Folk Customs from Around the World
Folk customs (a.k.a. traditional customs) are developed and practiced primarily by small, homogeneous groups living in more isolated rural areas. Social customs such as the provision of clothing, shelter, transportation and food have evolved differently in different areas of the world because natural resources vary widely from place to place. Folk customs reflect the benefits and constraints of each group's environment, and through cultural evolution each generation has left its unique imprint on the cultural landscape Guatemala Guatemala Samoa Spain China China Kazakhstan Uzbekistan Uzbekistan Syria Yemen Jordan Morocco Jordan Morocco Morocco Canada Syria Syria Yemen Syria Nebraska Dominican Republic Yemen Jordan Poland Mexico Egypt Armenia South Korea e Guatemala China Ecuador Colombia Mexico Morocco Morocco Nicaragua Portugal Georgia Syria Syria China Syria Oklahoma Jordan Egypt Peru Peru Hawaii Uzbekistan Uzbekistan Yemen Syria To view click on any photograph
