Ag Tag Ag is for Me The Scoop ... All About Us Central to MAEF's work is providing teachers an innovative education program designed to increase their students' performance in all academic areas.
Quality agricultural training and supporting curriculum is provided to thousands of educators as they learn to use these concepts as a tool when teaching subjects such as science, math, language arts and history.
AITC Inservice Workshops
Ag in the Classroom workshops are popular, hands-on training for PreK-12 educators. The training infuses agriculture, science and technology into classrooms statewide, and remains the cornerstone of MAEF's educational programs. The Ag in the Classroom Summer Workshop is a five-day intensive program where primary teachers are trained to use new and innovative projects focusing on agriculture to teach math, science, language arts, history and the environment in their classrooms. Each teacher receives extensive hands-on activities, curriculum, videos, CD's, and models for the classroom to excite students about the learning process while learning about agriculture. The one-day AITC Spring Workshop is held at the Maryland Department of Agriculture in Annapolis, and offers additional curriculum material and an opportunity to exchange ideas with active AITC PreK-12 educators.
