Through more than five years of ARDs and assessments and mediations and far too many special education directors and teachers and aides and therapists who thought they knew far more about my son than I did Through support groups and advocacy groups and seminars and parent groups and staying up far too late for far too many nights sharing war stories with other parents on the telephone or e-mail Despite all the helpful and well-meaning professionals I've encountered, the most important thing I've learned is NOTHING can replace the collective guidance and understanding
of other parents who've been there. PARENT POWER!
