A bout Children
All children, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Please use discretion and consider other audience members, as well as the artists, when deciding whether to bring small children to a performance. If bringing children ages 8 and older, instruct them in proper behavior. It is also helpful to familiarize them with the story and the score. It is strongly recommended that infants and children under eight not attend. Due to fire regulations, the capacity of the theatre is limited to the number of seats. EVERYONE attending performances must have a ticket to enter the theatre.

Please notify the Box Office at the time your ticket order is placed to arrange for special seating. Limited handicapped parking is available adjacent to the Theatre with the appropriate sticker. Please plan to arrive early for performances.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT OUR POPCORN: Our popcorn is legendary. Some say it's the best in the world. We have a brand new Gold Medal popcorn machine. We're very fussy about ingredients and preparation. We pop fresh daily, on site. For a topping we use drawn butter (unless you prefer your popcorn without).
HELP WANTED: We often have part-time openings for people (10-20 hours per week, mainly nights and weekends) to help with virtually all the activities of a thriving movie theatre/video store complex. We offer flexible scheduling, a competitive hourly wage, vacation pay, free movies, soda, and a friendly and fast-paced workplace. The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Theatre Arts Program is a unique blend of small size and total programming. A dedicated faculty with advanced degrees in all areas of theatre instruction, coupled with small class size, guarantees individual personalized instruction rarely available in larger programs. An expanded theatre arts curriculum allows students to choose a program of study best fitted to their needs with the choice of a performance emphasis, design/technology emphasis or general theatre studies emphasis. Performance and production opportunities are available in four major productions and a summer musical each year, as well as numerous children's theatre and senior project productions throughout the year.

The facility is at street level. When arriving for a performance, our new lobby allows wheelchair entrance into the theatre.     Sesquicentennial Park and Fish Plaza are located adjacent to the Wortham Theater Center, and Jones Plaza is across the street from Jones Hall. Each is a unique outdoor location for special events with the added convenience of nearby Theater District Parking. Sesquicentennial Park, conceived in recognition of the City of Houston's 150th birthday in 1986, offers a beautiful multi-level setting on the banks of the Buffalo Bayou. Cascading water falls and distinctive lighting make this area popular setting for photo shoots and weddings. The second phase of the park, complete with an amphitheater (pictured above), opened in May 1998. Fish Plaza, located at the door of the Wortham Theater Center, offers a large, wide open space skirted by lush trees for almost any occasion imaginable. This area offers an excellent location for tented events.

Highlights include the West End debut for
THE BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS; the London premiere of Irish funeral show, BRIGHT COLOURS ONLY; the return of the awe-inspiring MR CHINA'S SON; the first London season for Britain's most electrifying new circus troupe, Company FZ and their award winning THROAT; and a series of workshops of a new musical by Britain's leading chansonnier and cabarettist, Barb Jungr's NORAH'S ARK.
We continue to tour book, manage and produce a number of extraordinary productions from around the World and hope that you will catch some of them soon.
