He is a frequent lecturer with recent lecture invitations including a UNESCO sponsored conference in Tunisia, as well as at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.
Also joining the tour will be Professor Nejib Ben Lazreg, one of Tunisia’s leading archaeologists and historians. Professor Ben Lazreg is affiliated with the National Institute of Heritage in Tunis and is the director of Roman Sites of the central part of Tunisia. He has been involved in excavations of antiquity sites in many parts of Tunisia.

Tunisia Tunisia's list of visitor attractions would do justice to a country twice its size. From the stone-age settlements near the oasis at Kebili to the space-age sets of Star Wars (parts of which were filmed at Matmata), its lush-to-lunar landscapes have seen more action than the New World nations combined. Spend a few days here and you'll agree: daydreaming at the famous Roman ruins of Carthage and El-Jem is almost as good as stepping into Virgil's Aeneid and knocking one back with Dido, while a day's dawdling on the north coast's beaches will leave you wondering why Hannibal ever left. Tourism remains very low-key throughout most of the country, though if you're looking for resort life you can find that too. Be it Tunis' French-Arab culture collage or the Sahara's unthinkably massive expanse, you're going to be impressed with what you find in Tunisia. After all, they've had 3000 years to prepare for your visit. Full country name: Republic of Tunisia
Area: 163,610 sq km (63,170 sq mi)

Men are cutters of stones, however women weave the farachias, cloths with bright colors, and the filij, long ribbons which are sewn together to form the Bedouins tents.
In Tunisia, you read the secular customs in every action.
The one of the craftsman who polishes his boiler making pieces lovingly, the one of the potter who makes the jars which keep water so fresh, the one of the weaver, who ties up the crude wool for carpets, guaranteed by the label "Quality-authenticity".
Every tribe has its own drawings and colors: The claret prevails in Douiret, the black in Guermassa, the blue in Matmata and Tataouine.
Can you resist to the gypsum flower, the quartz, the Berbers' jewels?
As passing through Nabeul, you can admire the magic of the craftsman who fashions, on a red clay foundation, his faience decorated with green and yellow motifs.

CULTURE
A n ideal climate, a long and gentle seacoast, Tunisia , the northernmost country of Africa has for over 3000 years witnessed the passage of Phoenicians, Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Turks, Spanish and French. They came as fugitive s or adventurers, to conquer or to claim, warriors and missionaries, traders and farmers each leaving a part of their story in stone or mosaics , on hills of Carthage and the threshold of the Sahara.
This heritage, Tunisia's greatest wealth has been held in trust and preserved in hundreds of sites and museums from the small Punic museum in Utica to the vast collections of the prestigious National Museum of Bardo . Most Museums are closed on Mondays, whereas many on-site archeological museums and ruins are open all week. An entrance fee is usually charged and a caretaker will often act as guide.
